Please read our school Policies & Procedures below before registering and Paying for class.
Our team is thrilled to see many familiar faces return to the studio and even more excited to see some new faces join our small dance community. Please take the time to read this information carefully, we have it here on our website for you to refer to as you need, don’t forget that we are always here to help and will happily answer any questions you may have.
General Rules: Please discuss these rules with your dancer.
No food, gum chewing or drinks (except water bottles) inside the classroom.
No cell phones, smart watches, smart earphones/Air Pods (or jewelry) are allowed in the classroom at any time. If they are inside a dance bag, they should be turned off or on mute. If dancers are wearing any of these item in class, they will be asked to remove and place them in their dance bag.
All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times unless they are in class.
All personal belongings may be kept in the dressing room or lobby. CBM is not responsible or liable for personal injury, loss or damage of any personal property. Please make sure you check for all your belongings before leaving the studio.
No parents, friends, or siblings are allowed in the classroom at any time. This is for the benefit of your dancer.
Every student or guardian is responsible to inform their teacher of any injury or limitations they may have that could prevent the from participating fully in class.
Attendance
Your child’s attendance in class is very important to their peers and our teaching staff. It is a commitment for you to ensure your child attends their class(es) on time each week. Not only do absences impact the performance routines we create, it also impacts the social and confidence-building principals we work hard to foster in each age group. If you know ahead of time that your child will be absent, please let us know.
Tuition:
While full payment of tuition is preferred, we recognize that each family's financial situation is unique. As a courtesy, CBM offers flexible monthly payment plans.
Monthly payments are due on the 1st of each month. Payments received after the 1st will incur a $30.00 late fee. Students with unpaid tuition and/or late fees will not be allowed to participate in classes or performances.
Refund Policy:
There are NO REFUNDS, NO CREDIT OR EXCHANGES once you’ve paid for classes; even if you decide to drop for ANY REASON. If your dancer must drop due to serious injury or medical reasons please email us to discuss.
Pro-rating:
We do not prorate classes for existing students. No Exceptions.
Missed Class
Tuition is not refunded for any class your dancer misses. Your dancer may make-up any missed class at the same level or level below. You must make-up a class before the end of the term your dancer is currently registered in. You can not carry over make-up classes in the following term.
Attire/Dress Code
Proper shoes and attire must be worn to participate in class. Hair MUST be pulled back off the face for all classes; hair MUST be in a neat bun for ALL ballet classes. Don’t forget to write your name in all shoes, bags, water bottles etc. You can find descriptions and examples of the proper attire for each class on our Attire page.
Inclement Weather
CBM does not always follow the lead of the public schools when it comes to inclement weather/snow days cancellations.
In case of inclement weather, CBM will send notifications to the email address provided on your registration form no later than 1pm on the day of the event. If no notification is received by 1pm, classes will continue as scheduled.
There are no refunds, credit or exchanges for classes canceled due to inclement weather. Classes may be made up, if desired, at your own discretion.
As always we ask for parents and students to use their best judgment, as your safety is our main concern during these times.
Communication
CBM conveys primary information via email, utilizing the address submitted on your dancer's registration form. Email addresses are kept confidential. Significant studio updates are exclusively shared via email, making it crucial to thoroughly review all emails from CBM, ensuring familiarity with important information, dates, and announcements.
Observation Week
CBM provides an “Observation Week” each term; where 1 0r 2 guardians will be allowed to watch their dancer in class. You will be notified by email when this occurs.
*CBM reserves the right to adjust, change and update policies as needed. You will be notified by the email you provided on your dancers’ registration form of any such occurrence.
